When you were a kid did you ever dream of what your house would look like when you were all grown up? For a lot us the image we have in our heads is the big house, with the white picket fence and the immaculate garden. But why? There aren’t many houses like that in Britain and with our unforgiving and unreliable weather; it’s a near impossibility to keep a British garden looking flawless all year round – especially in the North of England.
The reason we have this perfect house and garden in our minds is probably due to the amount of American TV we all watch. It’s a massive influence in our lives (unless you aren’t a TV addict like me!) and when you think about it, we’re exposed to so much imagery.
One example that springs to mind is Wisteria Lane on Desperate Housewives. This particular setting is all about the perfectly preened lawns that make up the lane; there’s not a blade out of place!
But is it really achievable to get the same kind of beautiful looking lawn here in Britain that they do over there in America? Well, with artificial grass it is.
Artificial grass can give you a lawn to die for – which did regularly happen in Desperate Housewives! By replacing your natural lawn with artificial grass, you can have an all-year-round lawn that looks impeccable no matter what the weather. Maybe the use of artificial grass was the biggest secret on Wisteria Lane after all!
