With yesterday being Ash Wednesday, now is the time that most of us, religious or not, tend to give something up that will benefit us. Smoking, eating chocolate and drinking coffee are just some of the most common examples of habits that people tend to give up for Lent. It’s great because it’s a healthy step in the right direction. But it’s also good to pick something up as well as kicking something, and starting to exercise is a great change you can make. We’re sure you’ve all been busy making, flipping and of course, eating pancakes so now is the time to burn off all those calories and get active. But you don’t have to join a gym to get active; your garden is the perfect setting to start exercising, especially if you’re a little self-conscious and especially if you have artificial grass.

Artificial grass is great because you can use it all year round. In the colder months you can still get out and exercise because the artificial grass doesn’t freeze over. You also don’t have to stay indoors if it has been raining, something that a lot of people do because they don’t want to slip on mud and hurt themselves. There’s no chance of that happening with artificial grass so really there’s no excuse to get out and get active!

In this day and age it’s important to make the effort to be as healthy as possible and even enjoying light exercise is a good way to achieve this. It also sets a great example for the youngsters, which, with the current childhood obesity statistics being what they are, has never been so vital. Being healthy starts at home and having a great space to enjoy fun activities makes it that much easier to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Artificial grass is the easiest way to have a ready to use, no hassle area to enjoy a variety of exercises!
